Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens when you visit the portfolio and blog. The site is a personal portfolio operated by Yaswanth Battina. It is designed to work without accounts, advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or visitor profiles.

Information used by the site

• Aggregate site visit count: when a page loads, the browser makes a small request to the site's Netlify Function. The function increments one shared total. It does not intentionally read or store your IP address, browser fingerprint, device identifier, page history, or other visitor identifier. It stores only the total number of visits.
• Hosting and delivery: Netlify and network providers may process connection and security metadata (which can include IP address, browser details, and request time) to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site. This is handled under their own policies and operational retention settings, outside the aggregate counter.
• External links: GitHub, LinkedIn, the live demo, and other external websites receive a request only if you choose to open them. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
• Contact email: if you email me, I use the details in your message to reply and manage that conversation. Do not send sensitive information unless it is needed.

Purpose and choices

The aggregate total is used only to show how many page loads the site has received overall, including repeat visits and automated requests; it is not a count of unique people. There are no analytics dashboards, ad targeting, marketing lists, or personalized visitor measurements. You can block requests in your browser; the portfolio and blog will still work, but the counter may not update or display.

Storage and retention

The counter stores a single aggregate number in Netlify Blobs, a Netlify service. The total is kept until the site operator resets or deletes it. The counter itself does not keep visitor-level records. Its aggregate value is stored in Netlify Blobs in the default us-east-2 region (Ohio, United States). Netlify's delivery and security logs are governed by Netlify's current privacy and retention practices. The portfolio does not set tracking cookies or use local storage.

Service providers and international processing

The site is hosted on Netlify and uses Google Fonts to display the selected typeface. When a page loads, these providers may receive technical connection data such as an IP address and requested resource. The counter's stored value is an aggregate total without a visitor identifier. Services may process data in countries where they or their providers operate; see the providers' notices for their details: Netlify privacy and Google privacy.

Your privacy requests

If you have a privacy question or request about information you sent directly to me, email workwithyaswanth@gmail.com. The site does not maintain a visitor profile to look up, export, or delete. Requests about Netlify or Google processing should be directed to those providers.

Children

This portfolio is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect information from children. It has no account or comment form.

Changes

If the site's data practices change, this notice will be updated before the new feature is used.
